I have an Acer E17, and seem to have the same problems. Occasional freezes, with no ctrl-alt-F1 or ctrl-alt-del working anymore. I am no expert sysadmin by the syslog doesn't show anything suspicious to me. Sometimes it will run normally for hours, at other times I have 3 freezes in an hour.
