I upgraded from Ubuntu 9.10 to 10.04 to 10.10, now to 11.04.
Unity interface does not work, my desktop is completely blank, only the
background appears. There are no icons or panels. I am using the nvidia binary
driver deployed through jockey-gtk.

I experienced the same results as others have here, I upgraded to Maverick from
Lucid. I use an NVIDIA NVS 450.
