Using yesterday's alternate ISO, the text installer worked OK. I didnt
complete the whole installation process (notably, i didnt install
grub), but it didnt freeze as with the standard beta ISO.

It stalls immediatelly after selecting the "start or install" ubuntu option,
from the initial menu. A "loading" message appears, and nothing else
happens. I will try the latest ISOs as soon as I have the time.

Booting my laptop hp dv2000 with Ubuntu Feisty Fawn beta x86 desktop and
laptops CD gets me to the initial menu, but trying to install just
freezes the computer. I had no problems installing edgy on this same
machine.
