Ok, guys. There seem to be no reasonable solution to this problem.
Here I am giving an unreasonable one: install kde and use it (I did it and it
works). If the problem is solved (what I doubt will happen so

ehhh, it still happens just not as often. Still turning off hardware
acceleration seems to improve.

I do not think it is a duplicate of bug #973096. #973096 is only about
NVidia cards. This is more about ATI.
I am using 12.04, I experienced random logs off multiple times. I have a dell
laptop, 64bit archi
