Absolutely, it's a packaging bug and therefore related to Ubuntu
packaging rather than Openshot code. It's unfortunate that people will
view it as an Openshot issue, when they install it via the software
center but that's the way these things work.

Damn and I did search for dupes too.

Yeah, I tried that already (ok simplified i just did 'sudo ln -s
/usr/lib/libmlt.so.0.4.10 /usr/lib/libmlt++.so.2' but it's much of a

i tried to change the file format to .xls and it works too so it's kind
of solved now.
is it something with .xlsx format that Ooo isn't compatible with?

I can confirm this bug. Tried on two different Hardy installs.
Using blueat.
I makes wammu unusable and is new to hardy (gutsy worked fine).

This really is an unloved package. I find it strange that a package
which may be the only route to the net on Ubuntu is so often ignored.
I've had problems with every Ubuntu version from Edgy on. Unusually
using debian unstable source is not the solution as the same problems
exist upstream.
A fix
This bug still exists, though it no longer bothers me, as after
discovering that it is caused by an incompatibility of sorts with the on
board USB, I turned off the on board USB via the BIOS, installed a PCI
USB card.
Sabayon Linux 3.4e, f, shares the same bug.
So, the bug does still exist,

I should have mentioned that I have tested this with multiple keyboards,
one being brand new.
Also, have used a variety of OS's on this same machine with no problems,
specifically no keyboard problems.
