Hi, it will probably not help to you, but i spent couple of hour to turn on my bt adapter. Before that i had exactly the same status as above. The problem was that my hci device was not up. I fix it with $ sudo hciconfig hciX up #where hci0 .. first dongle, hci1 .. second dongle
Now it works fine for me.
