I'm using KDE too, but without openoffice-gnome it doesn't work. So why
shouldn't I use the package of Gnome for some days or weeks.

It's not possible to add a printer (Brother HL 2030) that is connected via usb.
The printer is detected by kcmshell kcmusb. But kdeprint/cups can't find the
printer. The Problem could be similar to bug #59502. (the solution isn't really
understandable to me, sorry.)

I had the same problem. It works after removing the suggested bins.
