Ok I got some hints form this bug.
I installed resolvconf (apt-get install resolvconf)
and added line to /etc/network/interfaces
'dns-nameservers 83.102.8.13 83.102.8.3' into iface eth0 inet static section
And now magically resolv.conf contains those, even after suspend-resume
sequence.

The problem does not occur any more, 2.6.27-7-generic in use.
I've given the updater overwrite my /etc/modprobe.d/options file and
it's since worked fine.

I and my wife are using the same computer and switched sessions
through fast-user-switch or through screensaver.
After update to Itrepid the second session always closes after switching back

Now there is problem with NetworkManager applet, the net comes up fine when
booted
but this network-damager system show disconnected status and it or somebody
else tells firefox to start in
offline mode, which is really annoying.

This issue is not occuring anymore, I'm not sure if I got it fixed by
adding to /etc/modprobe.d/options file line :
'options forcedeth msi=0 msix=0'
and running update-initramfs -u
or by apt-get upgrade.
The next boot after that update-initramfs was not able to get net on
but after that

but the situation occured also without that version.

It seems that after suspend / resume i can not get any networking at all.
tried even rmmod forcedeth and modprobe forcedeth,
but net stays down.

No, those are forcedeth devices, Asustek computer MCP55 Ethernet.
And those works fine after i do that ifdown and up sequence,.
However this thing 'NetworkManager Applet 0.7.0'
does not have any clue about static adresses defined in
/etc/netwok/interfaces, never actually used that, but i do re

After boot network does not come up after boot on intrepid.
Config was working fine with 8.04 but i updated to intrepid alpha6 yesterday
and
then the network does not come up at boot.
Net works fine when I issue 'ifdown eht0' and 'ifup eth0'.
