Since this situation is marked a duplicate, I'll mention it here, too:
With ffm on, and if any window is open (even gkrellm as a dock) you
can't get a file on the desktop to take keyboard focus. Example: you
can right click to rename a file on the desktop, but the keystrokes go
to whatever window
After upgrading to 7.10 Gutsy, I no longer need to run the kernel that
had no suspend compiled in it. My scanner is working fine.
After the initial post-upgrade restart, it did take awhile for the 1st
preview to run after xsane was started. If xsane was left running,
subsequent previews were as
I noticed that my my old CD writer ( an Iomega ZIp ) wasn't showing up,
so I unhooked it and now the boot pause is gone.
scsi_eh_1 must have been waiting unsuccessfully to talk to it?
I was planning on unhooking that thing anyway, so for me this solution
is fine.
