I had the same problem with gnome-mines, but I solved it manually. Start up gconf-editor and search for gnomine (assume its the same for aisleriot). Went to /apps/gnomine and unclicked "FullScreen" and changed height and width from 1680x1050 (which is full screen for me) to something smaller. Fixed the problem for me.
