I can confirm this, but I can also add that I got similar buffer
overflow with swscanner, and smash stacking (?) with prismstumbler.
So I am wondering if the problem is not in a upper level library, like
libpcap, libnet or even libc !

in this last version the menu are ok, but when i select pptp or ppp, i get the
message :
There is no configuration interface for the VPN service pptp installed. Please
check your installation.
For openvpn it works.

keyboard stop working and i have to close my lid to suspend the laptop
and when i go out from suspend they are back.

When i start openswan, i get this error message :
ipsec_setup: multiple default routes, %defaultroute cannot cope!!!
It is because openswan is looking for the interface that manage the
defaultroute, since there is several default route, it fails to start.

I have 2 network interfaces on my computer and i don't use them at the same
time, so avahi-autoipd is running on the one not used.
The problem is that it adds a default route with gw as 0.0.0.0.
It could be not important but it confuses openswan when it is started.

update, but i had to change a ling in cupsd.conf (i removed the Listen
127.0.0.1:631 line and replaced it by a Port 631 line) to make it

The problem is that when you plug in a headphones jack, speakers are not

since i switched to 2.6.20 (linux-image-2.6.20-8-generic-8.14) my
touchpad doesnt work anymore after suspend (not hibernate).
(and the secondary capslock, the one for the numepad on laptop, enabled
by fh+special_key, is on too)
