Today I wanted to try latest version of synaptic in saucy repo hoping
that it would work after latest updates but it failed me again. I still
use synaptic 0.75.12build1 version. I like synaptic but that bug is
really annoying. I wonder if that bug affects certain architecture,
hardware or distro?
I don't know it's related to that patch; whenever wallpaper switches
desktop icons disappear. That began to happen after I upgraded to 13.10.
Nautilus version now is 3.8.2. I suspect that it's related to patch.

There must be other folders that nautilus uses.

I should describe bugs properly, I have to use onscreen keyboard due to my
disease. I installed 12.04 yesterday, in previous version I didn't have that
problem. When I logged out onscreen keyboard doesn't appear itself, I enabled
accessibility feature and icon appears

and manually specify my raid array for grub installation. It would

dd if=16GigaByte-FileOnRaidArray of=/dev/null
And iostat reports that there is only read from ONE disk.
Forcing sysstat to ver.8.1.2-2 from intrepid.
rerunning test
iostat _still_ reports that there is only read from ONE disk.
- Should be easily reproduceable.
