Updated: It cannot be fixed by disable the touchpad using xinput,
but after using sudo modprobe -r psmouse && sudo modprobe psmouse it
works again.

I still have this problem in latest 18.04.1 LTS.
After sleep i cannot use two fingers to scroll, and i also cannot select words
using two fingers.( When i press down one finger and move another finger, the
cursor cannot move or only move a little)

yes i'm talking about the monitor positions. But it seems like after some
updates about gnome this month i'm not able to reproduce this problem anymore.
Problem seems to be fixed.
