Since the upgrade to KDE 4.2 I now seem to be able to remove panels
without a problem so I guess we could close the case now.

Plasma seems to restart when I'm trying to remove a panel that I've
added manually some time ago. It restarts and the panel I tried to
remove is back where it was before and it gives me the below message.

I too have this issue on Hardy. KDM-KDE4 states the following path:
(which obviously is broken)
KDMRC=/usr/lib/kde4/etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc
I haven't made any modifications to the KDM configuration.
Version of KDM-KDE4 package: 4:4.1.0-0ubuntu1~hardy1~ppa3

I have the same problem. I can't get any of the hotkeys to work. Not
even the preconfigured Print Screen trigger. I too have multiple
settings for each hotkey listed under Keyboard Shortcuts.

I go to System Settings - Advanced - Input Actions.
I create a new action with a new Shortcut Trigger,for example the
keyboard combination WINDOWS KEY+E (META+E), and click OK. Now System
Settings close down and give me the below message.

I have the exact same problem here. Seems to be related to the preview
function in the INFORMATION frame on the left hand side of Dolphin. If I
close INFORMATION down it will work just fine browsing the directory.
