This also affects two other systems of which I am aware: HP Elitebook 2530P and a legacy Gateway desktop (originally desktop OS was with Windows Me). This seems to be quite a prolific issue across a number of systems. Particularly bothersome on laptops due to the likelihood of entering suspend mode while running on batteries.
