It seems to me that upside-down printing (where you can just flip the paper) is much better than the current situation in karmic-final, where it just crops half of the page. Do people agree? I'm inclined to count this as verification-done, if there are new bug reports about the remaining

The orientation can be changed in page setup (File-Page Setup). So, actually, the problem is a wrong preview in the dialog. This has been reported upstream at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=526581 more than one year ago. Maybe we should make some noise there. :-) ** Bug watch added:
