I am running Kubuntu 9.04 on a S10. Updating Alsa to 1.0.20 solved the problem for me. After the update you can add additional channels to kmix: 'Capture' and 'Input Source'. The first one has to enabled and the second one can be used to switch between internal and external mic. Both of them are
