I've just had some time to install the final version of 7.04 on a totally different machine and the bug still presists. 1) go to System-Preferences-Removable Drives and Media 2) uncheck Mount removable media when inserted 3) insert a CD 4) go to Places-Computer 5) double click on the CD-ROM

It happens for all sorts of media, Diskettes, CD-ROMs, MMC cards etc., on different machines. The important part is that the device should not be mounted when you click on it, otherwise you would not notice this bug. I've just tried it again to make sure, it's still there. Do it like this: 1)
