I'm experiencing this same issue as well. Syslog grew to >100GB
overnight.
My configuration:
- Fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04.1
- HP z800 workstation with 2x Xeon X5680
- NVidia GTX 1070 Ti w/ 3 screens attached

Same bug affects Ubuntu 12.04 AMD64 - fresh install. Might be obvious to
developpers, but I thought I may mention it.

this didnt worked for me. im running 10.10 on n150.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:voria/ppa
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install samsung-tools samsung-backlight
sudo reboot
i did that and i cannot change the brightness...

ust got the problem while installing Ubuntu 9.10. Not specifying
/usr/local got me past this bug (I could specify an existing /home
without any problem).

Unless I missed something, it is currently not possible to change the
display name of an IMAP folder without renaming the folder on the
server. But IMHO, this is an increasingly important feature.
The rational behind this request is more or
it is in hardy too :(
