RB does appear in the icon tray but stays tabbed below when it used to
disappear
i'm using RB 0.12.5 and Karmic with 2.6.31-10-generic kernel

i dont know if this can help :
by default (hardy, intrepid, jaunty) transmission and rhythmbox docks without
configuration
since activated, transmission docks in karmic (what was not necessary in
previous releases), RB does not

i don't get what option you're talking about but i'm quite sure there's no such
thing in RB menu
that was automatic in previous versions
i agree the wishlist thing but if you could tell me how to complete the
request...

since karmic upgrade rhythmbox doesn't appear in icon tray, it's a
really minor bug but really annoying too. my karmic is up to date:
