Hi King, I've tried Xubuntu Live 9.0.4 on my Asus W7J and none of the Fn
combos worked.
Now I'm using Hardy..after its first installation almost Fn combos
worked.
BRIGHTNESS
VOLUME
SUSPEND
WIRELESS SWITCH
NO VIDEO SWITCH -- but now works with some problems and a workaround

I don't know if it helpsbut I've also tried to run eject
/media/mySDCARDname in a terminal and the ioctl error(reported in the
title) was not the real errorit's only the last error.
I think that the ioctl error is related to the last try that eject
does (.eject -t

Hi all,
I've noticed another strange thing about eject of my SD.
In standard configuration if I use xfce4-mount-device-plugin to mount
and dismount my SD plugged into the notebook internal reader, all works
ok with no errorsbut with my workaround descripted above I've no
errors using

In the meantime, I've found a workaround that helped me, but I don't
know if it is a correct choice to solve the problem.

I've noticed that after a full-extraction of a compressed file with
file-roller the new DIR created on Desktop is not visible immediately.
From terminal or thunar is visible...but only after opening and closing
