XVM Version 2.1.0 running stock Ubuntu 8.04 on Vista doesn’t have the
issue once fully updated using Update manager in ubuntu following the
installation of Guest Additions.
Follow these steps:-
1)Create new VM with some seisinle settings for memory and disk and set the VM
to boot from a stock
output of lspci -vvnn
xorg log to follow.

When I install Ubuntu Hardy under Sun XVM 1.6.0 under vista the screen
pillar boxes when I put XVM into full screen mode (there is a black
border around all four sides of the screen with the content in the
centre of the screen).
I am using the release versions of Sun XVM and
i discover this problem in Fiesty (7.04) too
