Does this problem only occur on x86_64 ? I use archlinux x86_64 and i got the same problem. -SPE 0.8.4.h -Python 2.6.4 -wxPython 2.8.10.1 -xf86-input-evdev 2.3.2 (keyboard layout : fr, alternative layout : oss) I join a debug.txt, perhaps it can be usefull.
