To use OpenFOAM in windows I have to install OpenFOAM in WSL(windows

I installed unity on my desktop and am having the same problem. When I select
Ubuntu Netbook from GDM and login, I can just see the background and nothing on
top of it. Mouse clicks don't work either.

Agree with #42. It does not seem to be a kernel related problem. Seems
the NetworkManager software is having some issue, I installed wicd and
it is working like a charm on the same connection. NetworkManager was
reconnecting every 3 minutes.
Adding NetworkManager software to the bug makes sense.
It works in lucid, but only through alternate install cd. with normal
install it was giving blank screen.

I am using Hardy and seems this has been fixed. I see that fonts are
consistent with firefox or any gtk app and open office.

I can confirm that. I am using kubuntu hardy and whenever I log off the
kdm login screen does not come up. I have to do a hard reset i.e. shut
down to login again.

I am using hardy on my laptop. If I keep it running for a day or two
networkmanager takes close to 1GB of memory which I find wierd.
here is the output of my lspci.

there is a bug in fglrx some where. there are two xorg process getting
started when the system starts. I am attaching my ksysgaurd with both

Yes I too think the problem is with gnome-mount extension. hope it gets
fixed soon as it is quite pain to restart the laptop. Is it possible to
restart gnome-mount anyway?

i have tested in kde. konqueror wheel keeps rotating, but it does not
hang konqueror. i can go to other folder. but the same does not happen
in gnome. desktop hangs and so does nautilus. kde has its own separate
application for desktop i think it is kdesktop and hence it does not
hang the desktop.
