This seems to affect many public Wifi Hotspots. A very common example is
the new setup by Starbucks/Google (usually seen as **Google Starbucks
Wifi**) in the US by (Tech behind it is https://globalreachtech.com/
with their http://odyssys.net/).

Symptoms are the same as #1508146 (but I'm not sure it's the same
cause).
alt+left/right sends me to another tty (terminal shell). Although I'm still
trying to determine if its window manager / keymapper kind of issue or what. I
use ubuntu because I don't typically like to get to this level.

Maybe I'm missing the benefits of this change, but from my viewpoint,
this change (1) removes choice and (2) lacks any utility or benefit;
other than to draw a line to divide those that support Ubuntu from those

commercial environment someone would be sacked.
You cant run Firefox in a remote desktop session or under Citrix if
another session already has Firefox open. This is a pretty big defect.
Frankly, this is the achilles heel of
Upgraded from 11.10. During install I unticked the download updates
while installing. Initial install complained about not being able to
upgrade all packages.
Once upgraded 'finished' -- I rebooted and logged into Ubuntu.

The documentation is pretty limited but suggests testdrive will work
with either KVM or Virtualbox. I have Virtualbox installed and working
well.
I'm on Natty 11.04 with current updates. I installed testdrive
(3.14-0ubuntu1~ppa4) as follows:
sudo add-apt-repository
should have mentioned /etc/testdriverc is not created / does not exist.
also doesnt seem to create
~/.cache/testdrive or ~/.testdriverc/
