ok, asus-p5q-em board with built in intel graphics g45, flickers with
HDMI out only, was running on 8.10 with same behaviour, and just
installed 9.04 and getting the same flickering behaviour.

OK, confirming the BUG, running ubuntu ibex 8.10 , Intel Core2 Duo e7400, Asus
P5Q-EM with HDMI out cable,
when running this with a VGA cable, no flickering at all, and only since using
the HDMI out on the Motherboard have i started seeing the flickering.

Yeah, i got the same bugs error, exactly, only workaround i found .. is
using IMAP and for some lucky reason that works, but i really hope this
bug can be fixed ASAP.
