I have the same issue.. used to work fine in 8.04, when i upgraded my
system to 8.10. It stopped working. Same error no response from
target Tried the NAT line and the local port work around.. still
fails.

Matthew, I see the issue, but dont see your patch.. tried renaming root,
to my current login.. tried default (and removing the deny after)..
reloading dbus each time.. couldnt get to work, what should i be
changing the policy to?

seems like its an issue with where the plugin is copied.. the third
comment here fixed it..
