Public bug reported: My laptop is a Compaq CQ60-204ES. I installed Jaunty alpha 5 because I could not boot neither 8.04 and 8.10. Almost everything was working fine (webcam, wi-fi, audio, etc.) but then I updated some packages and wi-fi stopped working. I have tried most of the recipes I have found on the web, but none of the works. Before the last update, when I accessed to "Controladores de hardware", I tried to activate the Atheros driver, but it always told me "The driver was deactivated, but it is still in use" (or something like that). After the last update the driver has changed (now it is a madwifi type) but it does not activate at all (no message). This is the info I get when I type lspci: 07:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01). Thanks.
