I'm having trouble connecting to a wireless router (an Alcatel HH40V
internet cube). It's the only router I've been having this problem on.
The problem is that although NetworkManager authenticates, it

I have the same problem on Asus Zenbook UX433F. With s2idle, suspend the
battery drain rate is 3.3W, while in deep it's 1.2W. (Powered on, it's
about 6W). So if I suspend it when the battery is half empty, it'll be
dead overnight.

The kernel options given by @smu-blackbox made this problem go away for
me. I then tried to figure out which of the kernel options I had before
may have caused the problem, but I couldn't make the problem come back.
My originaloption line was

Wh) while on battery. Power Statistics reports 4 minutes left and the
machine is set to hibernate on critically low power. Hibernate works
when done manually. Nothing in the syslog when it happens.
Also happens with BIOS version 214 (newest) and without the i915 kernel
flags.

I'm pretty sure this got better with today's updates, and I can't
reproduce it by mounting/unmounting the USB drive.
But it's still not deleting the mount points on system shutdown. So
every time I restart with a USB drive mounted, it's mounted at a
different mount point after boot.
