Karmic Live CD will still not work but forcing it to install immediately
with the vesa driver and manually install the 185 driver should work.
I'm using 9.04 with this driver and everything is fine. This workaround
would be recommended if the 185 driver will not be integrated in the
9.10 rele
I can confirm that the HP 2.0mp webcam is already working on 9.10 Alpha
4 (aug 22, 2009 build)DESKTOP . I'm using an acer aspire one 8gb ssd
110. Both internal(AAO) and HP 2.0MP webcam works on CHEESE.

Out of curiosity, I tried the 9.04 livecd which was able to load but
with vesa drivers only and does not detect proprietary drivers (nvidia).
The 9.10 livecd still does not work(current build).

I hope that the nvidia ion chipset will be incorporated to karmic. I
think ion will create a divide between atom fanatics. But as others say
the ion may eventually target nettops due to price while the intel
chipset will be more on the netbook

familiar with cli in linux as compared to troubleshooting the common
