Constant false gpu hang system alerts
To manage
if you run into crashing situation, don't need to restart your machine.
Try to open console by Ctrl Alt F1, log in from console, kill all gnome-
shell then do
export DISPLAY=:0
gnome-shell --replace
Comeback to your working gnome-shell by Ctrl Alt F7

Edit vmplayer preferences file at ~/.vmware/preferences. Add the
following line:
