Ubuntu 8.04

Using the "Network" option in System > Administration > to set a domain
breaks /etc/hosts. It changes the file so that the line:

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost myhostname

Is changed to two lines:

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 myhostname.mydomain

Which breaks the system. You have to manually change the line to read:

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost myhostname.mydomain

in order to be able to launch administration applications.
