Hi.
I've tried your patch. Screen resolution is still incorrect. Video with X11 is
working, picture with XVideo is always on top and in vlc is green.

It looks good now. Even the resolution is correct(without the Display
SubSection in xorg.conf).

Yes, X runs correctly, but when playing a movie, only sound can be
heard. The thumbnail is created normally, the size of the vlc XVideo
Output window is OK(I've tried it on vlc and totem), only the picture is
not visible. The output to terminal of Totem is identical with the
output with the driver
In VLC xvideo doesn't work(no change), x11 does.

I tried to build openchrome with your patch, but I can't conform if it
works, because on my screen was just grey fog(but computer reacted
normally). I've had to reinstall xserver-xorg-video-openchrome package
from repository.
Editing of /etc/X11/xorg.cong(the Display subsection) worked.

After wake up from suspend it froze so I had to shut it down by force. I

Since 8.10 Ubuntu doesn't recognize resolution of the LCD. Correct
resolution is 1024x768, but Ubuntu sets it by default to 1600x1200 which
causes that large part of screen is not visible. Especially
