I didn't see the problem again. It was probably solved by some updates
that I downloaded at the end of the day I saw this behaviour.

I don't think this is a Firefox-only issue. I upgraded to Jaunty on the
day of release, but didn't use the desktop till yesterday. I'm seeing
all software behave the same way. Specifically: Firefox, Pidgin and
Picasa 3 beta (from the Google repository), and whatever program is the
default image

Firefox complained about the missing plugin, so I tried to install the Adobe
Flash player, but it said the package flashplugin-installer was already
installed.

FYI, I'm running 64-bit Ubuntu.
Specifically, while running Compiz - Played an AVI file in windowed mode (Totem
movie player):
- First the video didn't show up, but then I switched to Metacity, and then
back to Compiz, and
Unfortunately, purging and reinstalling flashplugin-installer solved the
problem, so I can't replicate the error. I got the workaround from this
post on the forums, though -

Under 'Options - Display - Screen resolution', the resolutions listed
includes 1400x900. This should be 1440x900 instead. Because of this,
there's a 40px wide strip of the desktop visible to the right of the
game.

Shouldn't this bug be marked as a duplicate of #96991? AMD seems to only
be tracking it as a feature similar to what NVidia's driver does, making
up for the original X design issue. Also, #96991 is nearly fixed, so
once that is done, this would be too.

I'm using Ubuntu Hardy 64-bit. I tried the work around, and this allows
winecfg to work, but the Age of Mythology installer refuses to run.
