I often use fonts for french texts (which has characters like éàç etc), and
being able to change the default text to add these characters would allow me to
immediately see if a font contains these

Has this bug lost Activity? Im Using 10.10 32bit and Im having this
error. and it wont let me edit any Menu Items. I reported as a Separate
bug thinking it was a separate issue. I made Bug 630312 . I only get

I had exactly the same problem (Samsung, HDA ATI SB, Realtek ALC262,

I stumbled onto the problem when I started using hidden directories
(i.e. those starting with a dot [.blah]). Revert back to not using them
and it works again.

Thank you Bryce for giving this bug some attention. My experience with
system level coding tells me the problem smacks of a race condition when
switching desktops. I've turned off compiz and have run the system for
11 days non-stop with screen locking and full-screen windows all over
the place.
Bryce: It doesn't make sense marking this bug 'Fix released' since users
can't fix the problem without changing their apt sources. Please patch
the broken packages in the repository before marking this bug 'Fix
released'.

I've just tried running b0737bdbd1f6e601eb4984b6f4cb49279190984c with
the dont_check_abi patch and it works for me. Could you confirm i've
done the right thing here using the following commands to test it:

Evolution cannot authenticate
I'm using Kubuntu and I found it crashes when you don't check the
update boxes...Anyway it crashed when i just installed kubuntu on a
live cd but i think it is already upgraded now so I don't know what
the version number is. Sorry for my half advance but this is all can

I have the same problem with you, but probably having a different cause.
I'm using Debian 2.6.19.1. Supposedly, vDSO should no longer be mapped
to a fixed address due to security reasons. The address should now be
randomized:
