Sure, HAL can break with every update. That doesn't say anything about how
likely it actually is.
Does restarting powermanager fix it, btw? It has problems picking up the DBus

I'm inclined to not do anything about this, changing the primary user's
group is something you only do when you know the exact implications of
that, and that included fixing groups yourself. I wouldn't want a tool
to run over my homedir and change the file permissions automatically.

I'd first like to fix this crash, and then add more code, the patch is
adding a bit too much feature at this point, so I'd rather have it
reviewed by Luka first. I'd like to fix the crash anyway, quickly.
