There is not much to say. When I start acroread from the terminal, I get

I' ve been able to fix the problem as decribed in the link, i.e. by

becomes

I have the latest dapper, with
file-roller 2.14.4-0ubuntu1
rar 3.30-2ubuntu2
and NO UNRAR (I found it unable to decompress so many times that I chose
rar instead).

I'll try sticking with unrar and, when problems occur, I shall file a bug about
them. In the meantime, you might want to update rar to the latest version.

If you try to extract this with right-click -extract in natilus, a
folder is created with a truncated name, and the contained file is lost.

The behavior has changed in Dapper final: now it is the password that
must be typed twice. It is better, but the problem remains. Maybe the
bug's title should be changed.
