When copying a large file, or many files (5?) over a slow fs, e.g.
(s)ftp over gvfs, or even (sometimes) smb over gvfs Thunar fails, either
saying cannot copy x to : input/output error or, just

Work-around: around line 612 of catfish.py is where the data format is
set. If you hack it to use the ISO (backwards) date then the sorting
will work. (you then have to recompile catfish.pyc and now mine must be
started from /usr/share/catfish or it can't find the glade file...)

Dear maintainers: **Why isn't this fixed in Hardy?** I've just upgraded
to Hardy and it was a real PITA. Please do fix it. I use it so that my
thunderbird and kmail can share contacts (tbird via synckolab).

Errors are reported, full stop removed. Also, sync works

I have a temporary fix for this that works for me.

It uses kommander to provide a GUI to replace the KDE Safely Remove
action. It calls sync, monitors /proc/meminfo, and then when sync is
done, it calls eject.
