I updated to the latest kernel and I can confirm that I get 70MB/s when
doing dd if=/dev/sda4 of=/dev/null. With a previous incarnation of that
patch I was getting 7MB/s. Things seem speedily enough to not complain.

There are different issues at work here for different laptops (from
different vendors). I can confirm that Macbooks 4,1 work fine now in
latest lucid (alledgedly 2,1-5,1 works while 1,1 does not).
The Samsung NC10 requires a BIOS update AFAIK. Can someone clarify about

my card too, ifocnfig shows the network, and network manager sees it

I am still experiencing this error on my HP5102 with todays UNR image.
My ubiquity version is 2.1.33. Also error 141 and the syslog looks
pretty identical to the one posted here.
As my network card doesn't work in the installer, I have some troubles
getting logs easily for you.

2038. I use a mail indexer that offers to search mails between time
spans. In order to find future mails (one would be surprised at what

The reason why everyone is seeing this now is IMHO that before kernel
oops where not reported by apport
I disagree. Apport reporting oopses might be new, but there definitely
no oopses in Jaunty, as a simple dmesg on both versions shows. The oops
happens 100% on suspend/resume cycles here.
