As this problem only shows up on some system, I found purging the packet
"uvcdynctrl" solves the problem for me.

I fixed the problem by deleting the content of the directory
/home/User/.gconf/desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard
that is automatically recreated at the start up, if does not exists,
with the default configuration.

Bad kerning in OpenOffice.org Calc
For me, the OpenOffice fonts are not kerned properly. The letters run
into each other. BTW, these are the fonts in the chrome, not the
document. However they are no longer blurry like Firefox. I remember
that OpenOffice fonts used to be blury around the time that this ticket
was opened.
If
FWIW, this does match my font + subpixel choices (in the Appearance
applet):

kerning problems in the OOO UI. All Ooo programs are affected.

Repeatable for me on karmic.
Often if i select more than one row, pgadmin3 says it's deleting many
millions. Once I confirm the deletion, the program crashes.
