No, it has been fixed in Hardy, especially with openoffice 2.4.1, since I
was having some related problems with 2.4.0
Base is now working perfectly with robust databases, and none of the issues
I had experienced before, are now present.

I think there is no problem test it using Virtual Box. But you can do
what I did: remove all openoffice package at Synaptic and install
openoffice version 2.3.1, if you don't know how do this, ask me. Or wait
