Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libpam-usb
gutsy package, version 0.4.0-1ubuntu1 I got this on console: " * pam_usb v0.4.0 * Authentication request for user "tr" (login) * Device "MyDevice" is connected (good). * Performing one time pad verification... * Probing volume (this could take a while)... sd 5:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through sd 5:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through sh: pmount: not found * Mount failed * Access denied. Password: " This happens if you plug in the usb stick and try to login on a console before gnome automounter mounts the drive. With pmount installed: - you don't get the error above - it works in this tricky situation too Solution: libpam-usb or pamusb-tools should depend on pmount ** Affects: libpam-usb (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- libpam-usb pmount missing command https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144786 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
