yes compiz fusion is running what do you mean switching virtual terminals ? ( i am new in linux - i am just learning ) i go to log off , switch user , it opens the welcome screen and i log on as root , i do some work in the terminal , and when i go to log off , switch user again , then the screen turns to white , and computer freeze......if that is virtual terminal switching then yes , that is what i do..
