Florian's suggestion in comment #30 worked for me. I needed to re-read the comment a couple of times to see that the change pertains to ICE1712.pcm.front.0 { ... and not to any of the other aspects of the config file. As always -- thank you. -- Pulseaudio fails to initialize ICE1712
