Paul Collins proposed a patch for this problem
(https://lkml.org/lkml/2007/3/19/95). As far as I know, never implemented.

Same problem here. It worked fine in 10.10. I am using nvidia drivers
-geforce 9600- (tried all options from system-preferences-additional
drivers and also the binary driver from nvidia)

timestamps. Specifically, during the winter months (Standard Time) all
files modified in summer appear having their timestamps shifted by +1

This is also happening to me in 9.10. In VLC it would forget my change
back to normal hue each time a video loaded. However, in totem I went in
to the display preferences and click, reset to defaults. Now any video
in VLC and totem are displayed with proper hue.

Same here, T61. On resume the /home/ drive would not mount, had to boot
on recovery mode, run fsck and repair a couple of errors.

I have a similar problem with Epiphany in Karmic's Release Candidate.
When I click on any pdf, doc, etc file, it says that the file type is
not recognized and presents only saving or downloading as options. I
think it is a very annoying problem, and should be moved up in priority.

I think I discovered the offending file. It's:
~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/search/Important
When I delete it, kmail works fine. When I put it back, it crashes again.
I also tried to place this file on a fresh alpha5 install on my netbook, and
kmail still crashes.
I'm attaching the whole search

i can confirm this as well on the latest upgrade of cacti from the
update manager on ubuntu 7.10. The patch can fix the issue
