[Bug 682662] Re: pam-auth-update ignores debconf settings

2016-11-18 Thread youshotwhointhatwhatnow
It seems to be impossible to manage some pam auth settings non- interactively due to this bug. For example, I want to fetch user/group info from LDAP on a server so I install 'libnss-ldap'. This automatically enables ldap authentication in PAM (this already seems like a bad idea) which I don't

According to this message in the ceph thread those three patches are not sufficient: https://www.mail-archive.com/ceph-users@lists.ceph.com/msg30390.html In a follow up Stefan Priebe mentions he has about 20 other patches applied, and that must have contributed to having the problem solved on

There is one person on the Ceph mailing list who thinks this is fixed in 4.7rc6 (http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.file- systems.ceph.user/30793/focus=30987). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to figure out a precise patch set that can be applied to 4.4 to fix it. -- You received this bug

[Bug 1588576] [NEW] libvirt apparmor profile blocks access to ceph config file if cluster name is not "ceph"

2016-06-02 Thread youshotwhointhatwhatnow
Public bug reported: The name of the Ceph config file depends on the name of your Ceph cluster. By default the cluster name is just "ceph" so the config file is named "ceph.conf". If you name your cluster "foobar" your config file will be named "foobar.conf". The apparmor profile

2016-05-25 Thread youshotwhointhatwhatnow
Public bug reported: I can add boot options after the '---' in the installer and they are used, but after the install they are not preserved, forcing me to edit /etc/default/grub and run 'update-grub'. In my case I was passing "net.ifnames=0" but I am not sure if the specific option matters. **

This appears to be hardware/firmware related (specifically a problem with the motherboard). There is some sort of IRQ conflict when one of the PCIe slots is being used. The IRQ conflict was there in 14.04 as well, but didn't seem to cause any problems. Moving one of the NVME devices to a
