This is also affecting me. But in my case not only when I woke up from
suspend, also when it goes back from the black screensaver.

On some hardware putting the video card in the suspend state and
recovering from it needs some special quirk handling. With the
--quirk-* options of the pm-suspend and pm-suspend-hybrid commands you
can select which quirks should be
My video card is of ATI Radeon 5400 series model and my laptop model is

To try to fix that regresion, I tryed the proposed solution:

But to no avail on my Dell Inspiron N5010 Ubuntu 12.04 (while suspend worked
fine on 11.10).
