Confirmed due to duplicate. Signal 25 is BSD's SIGXFSZ, whose default action is to dump core (whose brilliant idea was that?). It is sent when the file size limit has been exceedd. A simple signal handler should fix this. ** Changed in: coreutils (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed = Confirmed
