The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.

for it any longer. I no longer have the hardware that this issue was

Michael, n-m issues here may be on their way to be resolved. Hopefully
next n-m will have the fix (it was distributed in source a few hours ago
for testing, and if the test is successful it will be packaged put
available.

I found a workaround! Well, actually “rausb0” in #ubuntu on Freenode
did. At least, it is a partial workaround.
There is a file, http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/rt73-cvs-daily.tar.gz
from the http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/wiki/index.php/Downloads page,
which fixes this issue. The rt73 driver

Did you try booting and using some app like wlassistant or wifi-radar to
wake-up the device?

managed by NetworkManager ATM, if that is helpful.
