I found a workaround! Well, actually “rausb0” in #ubuntu on Freenode did. At least, it is a partial workaround. There is a file, http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/rt73-cvs-daily.tar.gz from the http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/wiki/index.php/Downloads page, which fixes this issue. The rt73 driver
