Public bug reported: The behavior of maven-debian-helper changed in version 1.5 to not automatically install to /usr/share/java unless the --java-lib option is provided in the debian/PKG.poms file.
The impact of this change was that a number of packages stopped installing jar's to /usr/share/java; as this is a build time only change this has a much wider potential impact (around ~100 packages). MDH should really try to make an intelligent decision about whether a jar should be installed to /usr/share/java based on the name of the binary package its installing to. ** Affects: maven-debian-helper (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1052533 Title: Make intelligent decisions about installing to /usr/share/java if no options provided To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/maven-debian-helper/+bug/1052533/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
