Public bug reported:

The behavior of maven-debian-helper changed in version 1.5 to not
automatically install to /usr/share/java unless the --java-lib option is
provided in the debian/PKG.poms file.

The impact of this change was that a number of packages stopped
installing jar's to /usr/share/java; as this is a build time only change
this has a much wider potential impact (around ~100 packages).

MDH should really try to make an intelligent decision about whether a
jar should be installed to /usr/share/java based on the name of the
binary package its installing to.
